The house was built in the XVIII century within the newest neighbourhood of Mentidero. It used to be an open market where local products and exotic goods from the New World were put together. The harbour and security of the walled city of Cadiz was the perfect environment for the new headquarter in Europe for all trading ships coming from America. It helps in the development of the city, becoming the busiest city in that period welcoming people from around the world.
Traders and businesspersons decided to stablish close to San Antonio square to have an advantage situation from their competitors, making this area the preferred place to live for the wealthy people of Cadiz.
For years, this house had so many residents, and only the building’s walls can tell us about the stories and history of the city along this time. Now, this is your turn.
The house maintain all the essence of the original structure as was designed three centuries ago with the central courtyard, big windows and stone walls but we added some XXI century features, refurnishing the entire building splitting the house in 6 separates apartments with their owns kitchen, living room toilet and bathroom. There is a lift to help you to reach the ground floor to the rooftop easily.

The rooftop offers you the chance to chill out reading a book or maybe you prefer to organise a drink with your friends. There you have some seats and tables and the most important, some amazing views of the cityscape.

The kitchens are fully equipped with all you need to prepare a meal. Share with your friends some of you typical dishes or expand your horizons cooking the Spanish tapas.
The living room is connected to the kitchen as the main piece of the flat, with some comfortable sofas, shelves and a TV, we have created the perfect place to spend hours and hours meeting the rest of the residents and friends.
Two bathrooms per flat, this is good to have always the bathroom free when you need it.
The lift, probably no many houses in the city centre have one, but we think this is important, helping you with your luggage and daily shops and also for the lacy days, however, we encourage you to use our stairs as a little exercise.
